Mom’s Letter

Forward to Dad’s letter>

Dear Andrew,

I miss you so much. When the police came to talk to me today, I could not believe what was being said to me. I had seen you just a few hours ago. Your dad and I dropped you off at school, you walked away from me and I didn’t tell you I love you.  I love you. I want to start the day over.  I wouldn’t let you walk away without telling you I love you.

I opened your bedroom door this afternoon.  I wondered why your drums were so quiet. Right now, it’s almost ten o’clock.  If you were playing the drums right now, knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t tell you to stop playing.  You couldn’t make too much noise for me.

I need to tell you what a special young man you are.  I love your smile. I miss your compassion - the way you always seem to know when someone is hurting. The way you comfort others.

You are so very special.  I can’t imagine life without you. I want you to come home now.

Please come home now
I love you.
                                   Mom
