Andrew loves music. This picture was taken at Foothill in the eighth grade. He worked so hard, and practiced so much, just to get into the Jazz Band. He had a real knack for swing, and really impressed me with “In the Mood” and “Route 66.” The following year, at Northgate , his love of music collided with his love of sport. He played on the Freshman Football team and marched in the Band. For the entire fall semester, every night, and every weekend was filled with some kind of practice, game, or performance. One of the main reasons he transferred from Northgate to Clayton Valley was his desire to perform in field shows instead of street marching. His drum set (and guitar) filled up his bedroom, leaving only a little room for his bed.
